Bloggers Quilt Festival

I still haven't posted about the trip to the UK , but just don't seem to have the time to get organised with photos etc at the moment! My tummy bug (now gone thankfully!!) has set me so far back with the day to day tasks of washing, ironing, cooking, rounding up dust bunnies(!) etc etc!! All totally boring but even I can't ignore them any longer :-)

One thing I have managed to do, and that is to catch up with most of my Blog reading and discover all about the Blogger's Quilt Festival , brain child of Amy at Park City Girl, so thought I would join in! If you'd like to know more, go along and visit Amy straight away!

This is the quilt I'd like to show

which I wrote about on this post, so please follow the link to find out the story behind it ! Out of all the quilts I have made to date, this is still my favourite!

The sun has decided to come out after several days of torrential rain, so maybe I'll get lucky and manage a few of those photos this afternoon !!

In one of my virtual quilting bees this year, someone had us do one of these spider web blocks...so cool! Yours looks great!

I love me a spider-web quilt! I like the secondary star pattern that is made with this block, as well. Good for you persisting and getting it done after all that frustration!

I love this quilt too...you do such nice work. I looked at Amy's site...funny...I read your blog clear across the Atlantic Ocean to find a blogger (Amy) who lives about an hour from me! The World really is a small place!

How great that you persevered until you finished it! It's lovely and such a nice mix of fabrics/colors.

Maybe some of us will be inspired to get our old UFOs out of storage and have another go at them :-)

I love the story behind this quilt. I want to learn to quilt this year..and I am afraid that is what would happen to me...and then I'd just want to give up. This turned out very pretty, I love the colors.

I've never used plaids before and you did a really nice job. I might not be so nervous to try plaids...

It is interesting how the strength of geometric forms pulls diversity into a pleasing harmony.Your artful work with plaids is inspiring.
